THE KOTAH’S KIDS OPPORTUNITIES FOUNDATION
Empowering Youth through Extracurricular Opportunity
At The Kotah’s Kids Opportunities Foundation, we strive to provide scholarships for low income youth to be a part of any extracurricular they are passionate about.
In addition to this, through the work of our "Big 3" initiative we not only get youth involved in an activity but keep them involved through impact of positive affirmations and confidence building. The work of our foundation changes young lives through opportunity.
ABOUT
Founded in 2021, The Kotah’s Kids Opportunities Foundation has made tremendous impact thanks to the help of community members and generous sponsors in the community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to our "Big 3" presentations and fundraisers. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young extracurricular dreamers.

MEET THE FOUNDER: DAKOTAH GARCIA
My name is Dakotah Garcia, and I am a 20-year-old sophomore and athlete at the University of Saint Mary. I have grown up with a love for volleyball since I got involved with my first club team at the age of 8; however, I also grew up in a single-parent household for the first twelve years of my life. This means I saw the struggle my mother had to provide access to my volleyball team that traveled across the nation. This prompted my initiative to start the Kotah's Kids Opportunities Foundation. I want to give every child the opportunity to be a part of an extracurricular that will mold their future. My goal is to speak to thousands of athletes, performers, and other extracurricular participants and provide scholarships to change the narrative for low-income youth! Thank you so much for showing interest in being a part of the change! You are paving the way for children just like my 8-year-old self!

HOW "BIG 3" PRESENTATIONS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Through the work of our "Big 3" we have currently spoken to thousands of youth, teams, and groups and received endless feedback. Research has shown that developing mental strength and confidence leads to higher levels of participation and continuation in an activity. Many have shared how it has helped them gain confidence in their sport and themselves. Teams have chosen to keep their own "Big 3" papers with them in their bags to pull out on a rough day. when they need a reminder of why they do what they love. The presentations have taken off and provided a new mindset for impacted youth, reaching youth in three quadrants of the state.
